Cubase 13 crashes when I record SysEx dump from synthesizer. Using Cubase 12 everything is right.

I just did a sysex dup here with Cubase 13 and Sonoma 14.2 and no crash. It is working fine here. Not sure if that helps. Im using a MOTU MTP AV USB

I was sending SysEx from Behringer Pro-800. And as stated above, Cubase 13 crashes every single time while Cubase 12 is working fine.

  1. In the Settings\MIDI make sure you dont have SYSEX box muted there.
  2. Make sure Cubase is recording BEFORE you hit the dump from the synth
  3. Make sure the sysex box for THRU in NOT checked there in the same location.

But independant of the settings, Cubase shouldn’t crash.

Both crashes happen directly in Cubase.exe. (AFAICS they are identical)
Hopefully @Martin.Jirsak can bring it to Steinberg’s attention.

Did Steinberg replied to this bug. 13.0.21 on Windows still crashes when recording sysex.
