Cubase 14 available now

Agreed! Chord track & pads need improvements I made a post and feel free to add to it :

It’s definitely not a full version of Dorico, but that’s fine.
The important thing is that the same notation paradigm is now used by both notation software and DAW. I’m quite sure Steinberg will further advance integration, but a DAW which understands notation has tremendous potential !

Hi, I was going to use the 60 days test version, clicked on download test version, which in fact just the SDA, installed Cubase, logged in the Activation Assistant and I don’t see a Demo license. Starting Cubase will come with a message that no license was found. Help leads to a document which does not help. So how can I use the 60-day demo of Cubase in the end? Thanks

Yes, the download is just the SDA. Installed it and started it with my ID. Downloaded Cubase 14 and installed it. Now there is no license. And there are no more informations about how to get the demo acitvated. Missing link imho

No, you really have to click on ā€œTry Cubase Pro 14 for freeā€. The system has to get the license in your account. Just downloading it in the SDA isn’t enough.

You may try yourself. This is where it leads me when I click on try for free (I am from Germany, hence it is in German):

Many thanks

I will definitely be buying it, I also have both the Theory courses, Harmony 1 and Harmony 2, and also ā€œHow to write Musicā€. I’m about 1/2 way through the first theory course and really loving it, he has such a great charisma. In a way I should do the other courses before getting the Cubase course, then again I use Cubase daily so makes sense to learn it inside out asap

I might look at Udemy but the Thinkspace looks so good, I think I’ll do that first and only look elsewhere if for some reason it doesn’t suit my needs, there’s bound to be a ton of YouTube vids explaining in-depth all the new features anyway.

Glad you liked the course I’m only waiting as Black Friday is so Close, I know it doesn’t cost a lot anyway but for the sake of two odd weeks, might as well wait

Your account shows a trial license. Doesn’t the license show up in the Steinberg Activation Manager?

Now it does  Was just a matter of time I guess. Perhaps the license system is under heavy load (again), as the release is quite hot  Thanks for helping.

ā€œDownload Codeā€ and ā€˜activation’ are the same thing where redeeming the product are concerned.

Entering in the Download Code is the only code you ever enter, after that your license is placed in your account. At that point, your account now has an ā€˜active’ Cubase license in it, and its whatever the current release is at the time.

Can we say ā€œHello!ā€ to the old beat calculator?
…is he back in C14?

No, but we keep on trying to convince Steinberg that it is a bigger mistake to keep it out than to put it back in.

My plan is to fly to Japan and ask the boss of Yamaha for an audience. I will then compliment him and everything about him and when he says ā€œvery flattering, now what do you want?ā€ I’d say: ā€œOr dear Yamaha-sama, you wisest of all, just like in the tales of the orient and the genie in a bottle I have only three wishes. First, have Steinberg fix the horizontal scrolling bug on the Cubendo PC version. Then re-insert undo for virtual instruments. And last but not least, bring back the Beat Calculatorā€.

You know how The Shopping Channel offers you solutions to problems you didn’t know you had? For me the improvements to the Event Volume editing are worth the upgrade price alone … years of painstaking channel volume automation streamlined in an instant.

A very stable enviroment so far - definite improvements to performance, so a good starting point before exploring all the other new additions.

Kudos to Steinberg for an exciting and useful release!

He’ll smile and nod silently, politely asking you to hang on a moment while he takes several quick calls from the boat division, motor division, furniture division, electrical generator division, helicopter division, and several urgent calls from one of the harmonica factories.

As he completes the final call, smiles and apologizes, he then beckons ā€œremind me again what Steinberg isā€ā€¦

Not that boss, the other one.

No need for Usb Dongle anymore. Gaomarjos !

Today when I was shopping for groceries I bought apples for half the price. Then I saw right next to them a basket of oranges so I asked to get them for free.
