Release notes usually explain why an update was released:

Ever since moving to Cubase 15 I have noticed that whenever I drag in or import multiple audio files, they all end up on one track. It is incredibly annoying! Anyone else experiencing this?
** Just solved my own mystery. Settings > Editing - Audio: Import Files on One Track was selected by default. Unchecked and now I’m back to normal.
Here a bug, Cubase 15 meters are not working in pre-fader mode (they show the postfader level even with pre fader checked).
I have constant crashes on my m1 mac since this update.
Yeah, M2 Mac here and I’ve had to give up on both 15.0.21 and 15.0.20 for now because they’re too unstable. I’ve just had a crash that I can repeat where moving a tempo point too quickly while the score editor is open in 15.0.21 makes Cubase crash instantly to desktop.
How can I install an older version? Its spinning until i break in Taskmanager while MIDI-Device-Search on startup.
Is there a way to get the 15.0.0 again? I also facing problems with my Mackie-MIDI-Controllers - if i move a Fader, everytime it moves then completely down … seems to be a MIDI driver problem.
This is a Windows update issue if you are on win11.
If you’re on Windows 11, and Cubase is hanging at “Initialising MIDI …”, try uninstalling any vendor-specific MIDI drivers (not applications) for USB MIDI interfaces and controllers. They should work natively with the new Windows MIDI Services. If this is the issue, reverting to earlier Cubase versions on Windows 11 will not fix it.
Link to the information about Windows 11 MIDI Services:
As an artist version user, It’s a cheap shot that all modulation is only for the PRO subscription.
Its not like im a professional mixer or Zimmer himself. Why shouldnt electronica producers with artist sub be using theese!?
I believe that Microsoft solved that problem with the april patch tuesday.
If you have an inMusic device (AKAI, Rane, m-audio, Alesis, etc.) and are using their driver, this issue has had a preview fix on our Discord server for some time now. The inMusic drivers have a bug that our fix works around (mostly). Windows MIDI / Audio
That fix starts going out into Windows starting next week using the CFR 30 day process explained in the #key-release-updates channel on the same Discord server.
The part of the inMusic driver bug we have been so far unable to work around is what we call “surprise removal”. If the device is in use in an app, and you power it down or unplug it, it will likely lock up the MIDI service, requiring a reboot. So far, there’s nothing we can do about that.

Yes I am also having constant crashed with this new update, never had these before! This is very frustrating, I’m trying to do my mixes..
The issue where exporting freezes when the video track is enabled has not been fixed at all. I usually export multiple outs at once, and sometimes it freezes at 50%. It just happened again—I lost 10 minutes of sound design editing. Oh my god…
@d0gmA @inthevoid @Lindy_Botha
Please consider opening a new topic (free of charge), where you describe the issue and add the crash reports. This way we might actually be able to improve your situation.
I’m sure there was a less sarcastic way of making me aware that you prefer it done this way.
@Lindy_Botha the point is, you have provided zero information that anyone could use to help you. Please remember that this is a user-to-user forum, and ask yourself why anyone would volunteer their spare time to help you, with nothing to go on.
Would you go onto the community forum of your favourite car brand and make a post saying “My car refuses to start. I need to get to the shops” and then expect someone to magically know exactly what is needed, and and fix it for you?
Rather than accusing fellow users of sarcasm, please read this:
… then, perhaps, someone might still be ready to offer you some help.
I do understand, but I still think there was a less sarcastic way of making me aware of this as I dont know how this forum works, I never use it. I just saw someone else saying the exact same thing on this same post and I thought it would help to know that more than one person is struggling with these crashes. I dont mind learning how it all should work on here, but the sarcasm was really unneccesary and unprofesssional…IMO
There was zero intention of sarcasm in my post. I am sorry it came across this way. I want to lower any reservation someone might have to starting a new topic.
Furthermore, any crash that you or anyone else might encounter, can have a different root cause. We have to look at any such issue separately. And with “we” I mean I and other people here on this forum. This is a user-to-user forum. I am not Steinberg staff, you can identify Steinberg staff by the small Steinberg logo that is part of their avatar, but I and others are willing to spend our spare time in order to help. I see how my usage of the word “we” can be misleading to someone who is new to the forum. Sorry again.
Understood, sorry for misunderstanding your intentions. I will see if this issue persists (it was happening randomly) and then open a new topic if needed.
