The Cubase 15.0.21 maintenance update is now available. This update resolves issues introduced with version 15.0.20.
We resolved an issue that caused fixed values (e.g. velocity or MIDI CC adjustments) in existing Logical Editor presets to be incorrectly reset to 0.
We resolved an issue where Audio Export and Render In Place could hang near completion in certain project configurations (e.g. involving video tracks).
We resolved an issue where MIDI Control Insert settings could be corrupted when opening projects created in previous versions, potentially resulting in incorrect MIDI CC values.
We resolved an issue where the MediaBay server could crash when quitting the application.
The update is available in the Steinberg Download Assistant. You can find the release notes here.
Since updating to version 15.0.21, I constantly have a spinning beachball (I’m using an iMac). Cubase starts very slowly, if at all. Plugins also load very slowly.
I have the feeling that it’s gotten a bit better after a restart. I had to reinstall a drum plugin. For some reason, Groove Agent couldn’t find it anymore.
Hey guys! Please optimize cubase pro 15, as performance on mac m1max processors is very poor. It behaves very strangely in an empty project, unlike cubase 14.
I’ve attached a video screenshot, and the video shows the performer meter cube 14 and cube 15, and cube 15 is scary. With its silk and peaks. Dropbox
I have similar issues on Win11 - such peaks and drop outs on almost empty project (few audio tracks, not heavy plugins or VST instruments). Happening very random. It started after installing 15.0.20. Extremely frustrating.
Hello, i’m facing an issue after 15.0.21 update:
having external effect inserted on my mixbus on previously saved project (with 15.0.20 or less), the audio is no longer reproduced on monitor or headphones in 15.0.21.
Routing/audio connections are identical from the previous version,
but “old” saved projects (15.0.20) with the external effect inserted result with no audio
reproduced in monitor/headphones
As a test, creating a new project in 15.0.21 and importing the same tracks from previous version and with external effect then interted on master channel works normally instead, so it appears an issue with insert external effect in saved projects that are older than latest 15.0.21 update .
Ok, cool, so I updated to the latest 15.0.21 Maintenance Update and low and behold, all the loops and samples have disappeared. Used to live in the Media folder, Loops and Samples, but ain’t there now.
Yes, annoying, just when you think you have all the bits in place, bam, ya don’t.
Anyway, I just browsed for the loops n samples in the media bay, found them eventually, started selecting some and they played. After a while the sample n loop icons matched the media samples/loops and all was a’ok again. It’s just Steinberg keeping us on our toes I guess.
Man, updates causing bugs and issues and then we need more updates to resolve these issues coming from updates. Loops of issues of Spaghetti Code. I really wonder, when Cubase will get completly rebuilt based on codebase from Cubasis.
