Hi all,
Please Steinberg, make it possible, to have PAN and VOLUME on a tracks headers, some members posted nicely done pictures of that idea here:
This request has been a number of years floating on Steinberg Forum, but nevertheless we hoping it will see the light one day!
I am switching from other DAW MIxcraft 10, which has these controls, to Cubase 14 , and its so frustrating having had a small laptop and opening Mix console all the time in order to see Pan or Volume of all project at once. For now to see the dedicated Pan or Volume from the project page i have to click like crazy to open Inspector window???
Hi,
I don’t want to question your valid feature request. However, there are workarounds for the time being. I would advise to use a key command to open the Lower Zone Mixer. Minimize it to taste to reduce its impact on the project window’s real estate and you’ll have all level faders and panners. If you get used to it, it can really improve your workflow, too.
As I said - your request is legit, this is a workaround
Another thread is asking for inserts and sends on the track header.
How about adding the EQ curves as well?
And while we’re at it, a little meter?
A routing combo box would be nice. And a pre-gain dial.
Another thing to add to the track header that track panel icons should be auto rearranged when minimized by dragging to the left track window. It was POSSIBLE in Cubase 5 , now its missing, so another thing to reconsider.
A request is always legit and since the icons on the track header can be arranged to taste already - why not? Not my decision to make.
Thinking about it, @Googly_Smythe, would I be in the wrong to assume that your track headers are packed as is because you have pics of your fav Tomb Raider heroine all over them?
Hi, since new update of Cubase 14 u can no longer resize the lower zone in Mixer View, it takes huge amount of space of the project page, even in Cubase 12 resizable faders still were too big.
Unlike the main MixConsole which has a “—” handle, in the lower zone Project MixConsole you just move your mouse to the line until the mouse pointer turns into parallel “resize” bars.
