I was able to download the new version and it did load properly on my iPhone 13 and was able to interface with Cubase 9.5 enough to use the transport. However, there’s a message that comes up that says that my Remote SKI needs to be updated. But, according to the system requirements, the new version of Remote SKI won’t work on Mac OS 10.13. And, there are no older versions of Remote SKI listed, even under discontinued product downloads. Please do put up the older versions of SKI so that it is possible to work on older systems with an older iPad. What would happen if I installed the new version of SKI on OS 10.13 for use with Cubase 9.5?
Hi @Ancient-Future,
Please give it a try to install the available Remote SKI 1.1 update available at: Steinberg SKI Remote | Steinberg
Thanks,
Lars
Hi @Paul_Mellors,
Pleased it is now working. However, it doesn’t respond to Apple Magic Keyboard trackpad clicks.
Please let us have more info about your devices in use.
In addition, did you install both Cubase iC Pro 1.2.3 and the Remote SKI 1.1 updates?
Did you follow the exact procedure stated at steinberg.net/ski?
Best,
Lars
Hi @auditorium,
Yes, it’s since i’ve updated to 1.1 .i’m on C pro 12.5.0 pro… i was waiting this update for so long…
Please make sure both Cubase iC Pro 1.2.3 and the Remote SKI 1.1 updates are installed. Once done, please follow the steps listed at steinberg.net/ski.
Does this help to make it work?
Best,
Lars
Yes I did.
There is the possibility that you put in the App Store the option to install the 1.2.2 version it solves all.
I don`t know where to find and install in my Ipad IC PRO 1.2.2 version on my Ipad, I don’t Know how…
.I want my older app again in my Ipad. or give me and option because now when I play the drums is a Drama! I bought this app to remote because I need it.
Show me the way please.
thx
Hi @mr.roos,
Wow! I am so glad to see this App get a refresh! Thank you, LSlowak, you have made my life a better experience. Everything works beautifully.
Thanks for the kind comment! Glad to read everything works as expected! It was our engineers who made it happen, so thanks to them…

I also install Bon jour…now the IC shows me my cubase…i don’t need to put the ip manually…but still crash when connects with cubase
Hi @Jordi_Clemente,
The issues might be related to using a very old Cubase version.
These are the instructions:
- Download and install Cubase iC Pro 1.2.3 (available on the App Store)
- Download and install Remote SKI 1.1 (available on Steinberg SKI Remote | Steinberg)
- Follow the installation/setup instructions on Steinberg SKI Remote | Steinberg.
Hope that helps!
Best,
Lars
Hi Lars
Procedure followed.
I have 2 iPad pros. 4th Gen 12.9 and a 3rd Gen 11inch. Both have Apple Magic Keyboards both running latest iOS 15.7.
MacBook Pro 2017 intel Monterey (latest).
iCPro responds correctly to touch but no prepunch to trackpad click (mouse emulation). The pointer moves but clicking the trackpad does nothing.
Hi @Paul_Mellors,
Sorry, overeading the magic keyboard topic here, which is not supported with iC Pro.
Best,
Lars
I think that cubase 11.0.41 is a recent enough. Window 10
Same here keep crashing on my ipad 3, But work on my ipad Air
Suggestions please.
Hi @Jordi_Clemente, Hi @gibron_gib,
Please let us have more info about your devices in use, including the OS versions.
Thanks,
Lars
Ipad 3
27.1 GB
iOS 9.3.6 13G37
MODEL: MD367TY/A
Windows10 cubase 11 pro
MacOs Catalina MacBook air cubase 6 Ai
Both the same. When IC pro tries to connect jumps to second plan and when you goes to the app again is on the same initial window…
Hi @Jordi_Clemente,
the iPad 3 device and outdated iOS 9 version might be the limiting factor here.
Best,
Lars
Then the last good working version is 1.2.2. The app store is wrong. The last version available for iOS 9 must be 1.2.2, not 1.2.3. Can you fix it? And then I will have installed from the app store the correct version. If you don.t fix it the AppStore is installing the wrong version. With the rest app I can download the last version compatible with mu iOS.
Put in ithe AppStore the iOS 10 the limit for 1.2.3 version. Thankyou.
if it is so please allow us to downgrade to 1.2.2 from app store thanks.
My English is so bad…you said it with the right words.
Thank you.
