Cubase Studio Weeks - Sale

Yes, when you use your Artist activation code, you would directly get a Pro licens to your dongle.
No, August 1st is the latest day for activation to get a Pro license instead.

You bought the full Artist version, i.e. not an update or upgrade, right? If so, I don’t know why it didn’t work. The support team should be able to correct this for you.

That’s my understanding as well, and @Starsprinkler asked the same question as I was going to

Actually it is the Dowload Access Code. When you buy Cubase Artist these days you get a DAC that needs to be entered in the Steinberg Download Assistant. During the promotion the Artist DAC will generate a Cubase Pro license instead of an Artist.

Yeah I bought the full Artist. Thanks I made a ticket for steinberg to look into it.

I have a small question. I am planning to get the Cubase Pro 11 crossgrade download (I have a qualifying DAW). The thing is that I can’t seem to find a USB e-licenser (dongle) in the country where I live (Saudi Arabia). Is it OK if I purchase the software now (the download), and then activate it later? Thanks in advance.

I’m trying to find the option to do a discounted upgrade from Artist to Pro, but as a new user to Cubase, I’m confused by the options available.

Which is the link that lets you upgrade from Artist 11 to Pro 11?

When I click on “Cubase Pro Upgrades” there is either an option for Cubase Pro updates (not relevant as I’m on Artist 11) or upgrades - but the options there are “From Cubase LE (4 or higher), Cubase AI, Cubase Essential 4/5, Sequel 2/3”.

I don’t recognise those versions - is this however still the correct one to click on? If not, where should I go?

Thanks

If I buy “Steinberg Production Starter Kit”( there is Cubase artist 10.5. ) and I activate this month, will I get free upgrade to pro too?

If it is ok, it is a good deal for me

Hi, yes, absolutely. The cross grade is basically a full version that can be activated at any time.

As a new user, you just purchase a regular Cubase Artist full version and you will receive a Cubase Pro license as long as you activate it during the time of the promotion.

Hi Matthias,

I activated Cubase Artist 11 a couple of months ago so I’m not eligible for that (unfortunately for me!)

Could you direct me please to a place where I can upgrade to Pro at a discount? I’m confused by the options.

That’s your upgrade. Select Cubase Pro and then the first upgrade choice (not update!).

Thank you so much.

Fair enough.
So next pro update I need to be patient and wait a half year.

I bought a copy of Cubase Artist 10.5 Education which after activation today got updated to Cubase Artist 11. It displayed a message on the Steinberg Download Assistant which said something like “Your license for Cubase 10.5 has been arranged to be updated to Cubase Artist 11 by your provider”. I want to know whether I am eligible for the “Buy Artist, Get Pro” upgrade or not? And If I am eligible for it then how do I avail it? I know the process should be automatic but it still says Cubase Artist 11 registered under MySteinberg account. I do not want to download a copy of Artist and then uninstall it and then install Pro again.

No, educational versions are not included in our Cubase Studio Weeks promotion.

Hi, Matthias!
I have a “boxed version” of 10 pro. I want to upgrade to 11.
On the purchase page (Steinberg Online Shop) I enter my data and in particular write my e-mail from my account “MySteinberg” to which my current license is registered. But he writes to me that "An account with such an email address already exists."Am I doing something wrong or is everything okay? And I need to enter my other e-mail for this my first online purchase?

New here so please let me know if I should post this elsewhere.

I have bought the upgrade from Elements 10 to Elements 11 but cannot licence it as the eLicencer program says that it is out of date, despite being the latest version I just downloaded (6.12.7.1292).

I also noticed that the default for an activation code is groups or four characters but my upgrade activation code is formatted as four groups of five characters.

I am on Win10 by the way.

Hey, all good. Unfortunately MySteinberg and the Online Shop have different systems with different accounts. So you probably have a different password for your Online Shop account.

Please make sure whether you have a Download Access Code or an Activation Code. It should be mentioned in the confirmation email. If it’s a Download Access Code (DAC), just open the Steinberg Download Assistant and enter the DAC in there.

Thanks for the prompt response. All sorted now.

Bit of a newbie error (note to self - download first and then activate!).

This is what happens when you let 60-year olds play with technology. Still, it’s never too late to start making music
