I’ve found a couple of subjects regarding how to get roman numerals to indicate fret positions.
Dorico doesn’t provide a means to align items like horizontal lines or playing techniques with continuation lines at present; this is something we hope to be able to add in a future version of the software.
What about:
Indicating the fret position over several notes/bars?
Just a roman number with a (dotted) line to the end.
Like barre but without a C in front and a dotted line as alternative.
Is there a command or workaround?
Under (German) key commands I found s.t like “bundposition” (“fret position”) but it’s impossible to set a key for that command. What is this command for?
I’m slowly going through the back-and forth process of adding barre lines to guitar music. I have figure out how to set a duration for the barreb but I cannot figure out the last step: how to add a frey number so you’ll know where to position it. Akso, information such as the duration lin e and the half- or full indication are below the staff, where they should be above it. Thankyou
Could you please summarize. Is the best method to create a playing technique for each fret? Spontaneously the simplest option seems to be the text items tool.
