This would essentially be an advanced Group Channel in which contained within, is essentially a MixConsole for FX, Group and VCA channels only.
I do very deep, complex FX Chaining and Routing.
- Source channel
- Multiple Send Split Channel
- Multiple Side-Chain Split Channel
- Multiple FX Channels
- Multiple FX Sum Channels
- An additional Source+FX Sum Channel
And then many of these also have Modulators within, controlling insert/channel parameters.
This magnitude of channels all creates an end result that is the effect.
A SideMix Channel, would allow me to bundle all this up into a single channel, with a dedicated MixConsole.

I suppose this could sort of be accomplished with the new Group-Folder tracks… but the idea is not entirely the same either.
