This, from the OP, is the real gist of the matter, along with the seemingly, I say again, seemingly random moving around and name changing of existing features. In my experience, it’s the instruments that get dumped more than features. I can’t believe this is due to changes in Windows (or even the notorious MacOS) or coding frameworks.

One last thing, before I exit this building, it doesn’t matter if you are a 1st class pro or a know nothing cauliflower-eared amateur - you both paid the same price for the software.
Hi . I have unused cubase along with other DAWs since the mid 90s . The issues are a little more complex due to advancing tech and drivers in newer interfaces, electronic instruments, , and computer platforms and OS. . I liked Cubase 13 pro , however it was quite undstable at Ist. On my New MacBook . It crashed often and sometimes left useless un recoverable work in the wake of a crash. With new upgrades it seems to be stable now. I do miss the some of the older work flow and icons .my biggest issue is when I use it on my 14 inch laptop . . 1) screen sharing with a second larger screen is a PITA . Even though my MacBook Pro can support 3 screens. And my eyes are getting older. 2) Tech support by phone gone . Was excellent bonus . Still in Logic Pro 11. Would like to see a feature to adapt the GUi to smaller screens. Great Daw though. Thanks.

That is a scenario that isn’t restricted to your local grocery store. I’ve witnessed this happen in multi billion dollar, worldwide companies even.
