PreSonus FaderPort 2 (2018) midi remote script

Please do this, @Martin.Jirsak - Cubase is unusable on 13.0.50 on my system, i need to go back to 30.0.41, at the moment i’ve gone to 13.0.10 as there was a link in another post, but will ideally need a more stable version than that.
It’s not my configuration as when I installed 13.0.10 the problem with the transport and record enable not working went away and all works as it should.

Same here with Cubase 13.0.50

Hi,

Please make a new thread. Describe precisely your issue. If you have s crash/dump file, attach it.

You can mention me in the new thread, so I will fund it and have a look.

I have reverted to 13.0.41 and that has solved my problems with the track scrolling and Send page. I also found out that my trouble with the EQ page was a user error. I had confused the QC page with the EQ page.

There will be some more functions in the new update of fp-wizard than announced. :innocent:

Very exciting! Will we be able to run the new version in 13.0.5, or is this still a probable problem area?

We still have to work with 13.0.41 because there are serious bugs in 13.0.50 for which I am not responsible and which I cannot work around by changing the code in the script. There may even be two bugs. I will communicate hints to Steinberg where they have broken something in another thread. However, it is additional work to summarize the problems in a way that Steinberg has enough hints to understand where they should look for themselves.

Hi Martin,
I have created a new thread for one of the MIDI Remote problems…

Note: I have now posted the second bug of Cubase 13.0.50 with MIDI Remote (the fader problem with ValueUnderMouse) in the thread where the problems with Cubase 13.0.50 are generally discussed.

The track scroll issue seems to be gone in Cubase 14!

I have also installed Cubase 14.0.5 and quickly tested it.

It looks like the MIDI Remote problems of Cubase 13.0.50 with the encoder and the fader have been fixed in Cubase 14.0.5. :innocent:

Nice to hear that. I’ll have to wait for Nuendo, but that are good news.
Thanks

Hi CKB,
Thanks for your short notice.
But before installing Cubase 14 I want to be sure.
Would you PLEASE test your brilliant midi script and give us a “GO” if everything is working like it should?
Of course I’m refering on faderport 2.
I’m on win 11 and still on 13.0.41 and evrything is doing well.
The workflow of your script is more important to me than the new features of Cubase 14…but I wanna be “up to date”
Once again: Thank you SO MUCH for all the comfort you’re giving us !!!

Does anybody else have an issue where they save a template and it seems to stop the script from functioning properly whenever that template is loaded? It’s been happening since 12 for me, still the case in 14.

Basic functions like the fader controlling selected channel volume still work, the transport still seems to work, but all of the other features just cease.

If anyone has encountered this, is there a fix? Reloading scripts and restarts don’t work for me.

Hi tommyrack,
I don’t work with templates. I always build a new project on an old one.
I briefly played with templates, but (unfortunately) didn’t find any errors.
Can you give us a few steps as an example that we can use to reproduce your error?
Best regards
CKB

Hi Volker,
from my point of view I can give a “GO” for Cubase 14.0.5, as I have read,
that the same problems with other controllers have been fixed with Cubase 14.0.5.

But it would be better if heggebugg also gave us a “GO”.
(GOGO is better than GO)
Best regards

Hi CKB,
very very friendly that you take care and give a “GO”.
I know you don’t want any donation so I can only repeat:
Thank you for your wonderful work (not to forget Werners basics!) and for giving us any help in this forum so quickly. GREAT !!! :+1: :+1: :+1:
