For a few days a seller recently announced the new features of Cubase 13 and immediately withdrew them. Maybe Cubase 13 should have been released that day - but Steinberg’s shop was closed . This is just speculation - or it was a fake. The work on Nuendo will still continue. Maybe then the distance between Cubase 13 and Nuendo 13 will be smaller. Steinberg is certainly not delaying the release of Nuendo 13 when the shop is up and running again.
I always wondered why Nuendo is released later than Cubase. Electronic Arts charges more for the same product but 1 week early access.
I bet if Nuendo released a couple of months earlier than Cubase, a lot of people switch to Nuendo, only for this ‘early access’.
If impatience can be overcome by spending more…
The smell of self entitlement is so strong in this thread it makes me wonder about what kind of humans are buying into Steinberg .
This was an unseen problem for Steinberg , we all have tools to work with , nothings life threatening unless you cut a jugular with your Midi tools scissors so i think some people need a reality check and patients , we are all in the same boat , what makes your cause so more important than anyone else .
Sit tight things are moving forward , be happy with that
Thanks to internet anonymity, a certain “kind of human” is always prepared to take advantage of any event to try get something for nothing. Most customers probably don’t have that kind of time on their hands, or the energy to waste repeating the “are we there yet?” mantra, like kids in the back seat on the way to the beach.
Ohhh you shouldn’t of mentioned beach , i love the beach … are we there yet
Would it be possible for Steinberg to entrust the release of Cubase 13 to its resellers?
Some already seem ready…
Our resellers will of course be an important avenue through which future products like Cubase 13 are made available, but for some years now Steinberg has not made updates and upgrades generally available through our network of resellers. We don’t believe it is necessary to change this approach at this stage.
If you need beta-testers, I’ll be happily available for you to test whether you can sell the Absolute 6 upgrade to me…
Just saying…
I’m still wondering whether AssNet cheated me with unaccounted surcharges for forcing me to buy in $US from Canada then supposedly converting to Euros. I asked them for clarification several times and was ignored. How is this kind of behavior professional? Looks bad on Steinberg.
What Steinberg needs is responsive, professional sales representation. It’s unacceptable that my sincere questions, so far to Canada, the US and Germany, about my purchases have gone completely unanswered. Would you treat Hans Zimmer that way?
Hi, I’m not sure I’ve heard this term, can you explain please how you’re using it?
Thank you!
softly opens your wallet !
most of us are waiting for this
Haha @mozizo !
Thanks, @Nico5 . Many potential meanings in your helpful link. I wonder how “soft launch” was meant in this thread … initial sales only to existing owners, maybe?
No, it looks bad for AskNet, not Steinberg. Your perception of who is actually taking your money and responsible in this situation is way off the mark…
Dear colleagues,
Our Development Team Chief @dspreadbury has devoted already something between 25 and 30 posts on this thread, which I do quite appreciate - and I’m sure I’m expressing many others’ opinion.
It’s of course a setback for the Steinberg team, but I think we should with us all have some patience and confidence that they will succeed to overcome this situation. They have a proven track record of being capable of handling difficult situations. Let’s encourage them warmly, and spare Daniel’s time!
(And I admit, I am looking at similar vulnerabilities in our own company, so that we always have a plan B in case an essential link of the chain would break…)
So, I wish good courage and temper to all of the Steinberg team. You shall overcome!
Warm greetings, Robrecht
Hans Zimmer would not care about a few bucks of exchange rate difference
Steinberg hired them and let them run on autopilot. My perception is quite sound. My experience with them is proof.
He probably gets all Steinberg products gratis. But more to the point, Steinberg wouldn’t dream of offending him in the slightest way. All I wanted was a bit of respectful clarification. Both Assnet and Steinberg ignored me.
Let’s see whether there’s an improvement coming.
Agreed (fellow Aussie), and also Steinberg have more time for testing Cubase 13 before release!
