I bought and installed the cubase 11 to 12 update. My problem is that eLicenser does not update to 12 and sends a message that your cubase does not have the ability to update to 12?!?!? It’s very strange to me because I installed cubase 12 and I use it without any problems. I activated and use Steinberg Activation Manager through the newly installed program, but I have a problem with updating in my eLicenser program, and next to my Cubis 11 name, it says that it is not upgradeable, and it is interesting that this message came after the update. I used to simply update to newer versions, and only this time I ran into this problem. Thank you for your help. Really, this cubase 11 non-updated Licenses has just been added to my account and it was not before ?! . Thank You
Hi @meghdad_shahhosseini, unfortunately the “non-upgradeable” is a bit confusing. We will find a better naming for it.
The addition “non-upgradeable” is added to your Cubase 11 license since you have successfully updated to Cubase 12. Your Cubase 11 license can not be used again for the update. That’s what is meant.
So nothing to worry. All good.

I successfully upgraded from cubase 8.5 to 12 but my uad and native instrument plugins have disappeared . I work on mac mini with Appolo twin.

Yes I still don’t have the Download Access Code after 4 working days (6 total) from the purchase, so I can’t even register the license, hoping to not run into other problems you listed above. Is there someone who knows how much time do I have to wait to receive the DAC?
If it is an M1 mac mini, it is now running native with C12 and that means no VST2 support (UAD and NI are VST2 only AFAIK except Kontakt 6, at least on PC)
Nicola, why don’t you just log into your Steinberg online store account and access the activation code from the past purchases screen. Once you were logged in it will show you everything you purchased and their access codes. You then put the access code into the download manager and it gives you an activation code to put into the activation manager.

It looks like the license was not added to Activation Manager, even though I went through the Upgrade process in Download Assistant, and I have the new license numbers. How do I make Activation Manager aware that I have the license. Cubase 12 will does not find the license.
Yes. I tried both ways. In the Download Assistant, and straight in to the eLicenser.
Have you tried opening cubase 12. Sometimes that triggers the activation process or will give you a direction to follow.
Yes, I’ve been using C12 since it was released. Tech support is working with me to resolve this at the moment. Hopefully, they will figure it out before the expiry date of my “verification pending” license!

Could you please check that you have used the same account and logins for the Steinberg Download Assistant and the Steinberg Activation Manager?

I guess I was just lucky. Updated probably before the big rush and everything works great. The only thing I don’t like is that the 3 files: Key Commands.xml, UserPreferences.xml and PluginManager.xml has to be copied from the old system…
To all others that struggle: When it works, it works great. 
I sincerely appreciate your help. This was, in fact, the issue. I did not know I had two different emails that I had used for the My Steinberg account. It appears that the upgrade worked just fin. Thanks!
