Updating to Cubase 12 – STATUS UPDATE – Monday, March 7th

@chris_tarrant So you want to get the grace period update, right?

Did you start the Steinberg Download Assistant in order to everything updated?

What happens when you press “Check for Grace Period” in the Steinberg Activation Manager?

Or did you purchase the Update and didn’t get the email with the DAC?

it is currently installing 12 (for the third time) I have not seen anything regarding checking for grace period.
Are you now saying that this will be an automated message?

Did you purchase the update to Cubase 12? Or are you looking for the DAC for the free grace period update?

the DAC for the update

Ok. Let me check with the support and we’ll get you a DAC soon.

success! however the download assistant is not showing that I have downloaded 12, is this normal?

Am I so fkn dumb? Let me try that…

Me too please

I’ve updated my eLicence, downloaded and successfully installed the version 12 software but there’s no licence available.

I hope it works for you

It worked I’m so upset with myself hahaha that was the only thing I didn’t try and it was the obvious step to do, thank you so much

No problem. Rock on!

Nothing has worked for me as i have had to ditch my £86 upgrade and go back to Cubase 11
Three flaming days of getting nowhere and no Steinberg help
Video Player???Chord Pad??? Mixer??? what next???
Stuck in the mud!!

I want a fix , not a workaround. They are taking us for beta test idiots and i know nothing about meddling with computers . If i did i would have to re-image over and over.
Steinberg are quick to take your money
Most support companies come back to you within two working days .
Last support ticket i put in was in 2020 and still no answer . Never mind that was probably cubase 10. Given up on that. . At least Cubase 11 is flawless for me

Well Chris tarrant got fixed up .
Must of had a Bucket of water handy or the phantom Flam Flinger on his side.

I have sent you a PM.

I have the same issue. I just bought an update to 12 from 10.5. After the registration, It became Cubase 11 Pro (Not Upgradable). My 10.5 is gone and no 12 license is not in the e-licenser or MySteinberg account. Then I downloaded Steinberg Licence Manager and It shows my Cubase Pro 12 License. After that, I went to Steinberg Download Manager to download it and it works just fine now. My only issue is that Cubase 11 Pro (Not Upgradable) license. It needs to change so I can Upgrade when 13 etc. releases.

That’s not an issue. Our naming scheme is just a bit misleading…

“non-upgradeable” means that you have used it for the update to Cubase Pro 12. That’s it. All fine.

Thanks, Ben has managed to solve this for me!
I uninstalled eLicenser completely, rebooted, reinstalled… and entered the activation code directly in the eLicenser. Boom! Upgraded and verified. Now I can rock on!

Thank you for your quick reply.

Just re-installing Cubase 12
