Keep it civil, please, Funny is fine, trading insults is not.
The rest of the post you quoted did talk about Windows users.
Please not bring your VST2 discussion in here. We are tired of it.
Long live VST3, VST4ā¦.
Speak for yourself, I see a lot of interest in a discussion like this, even coming from the Senior Product Manager.

I guess soā¦what happens on Wednesdays is what pays the bills, but stillā¦you showed a little interest in the topic referring to the product to be discontinued.
Donāt forget Windows users, itās not all about Macintosh.
Literally the next words in the post: For everyone one (sic) else

The fact that Matthias is still up and reading the forum at 9:30pm Hamburg time suggests to me that Cubase 12 is coming next Wednesday, Feb 23. That means heās probably out of the headaches of the RC approval process and is looking to wrap up the details of the marketing and show a little personality. We know Steinberg folks have no personality when they are overloaded with work. So the fact that heās peeking out of his fortress means the release is probably next week IMO. Go Matthias! Next week it is then! ![]()
Also, I donāt think heād jump in the forum earlier today and just drop a bomb about Wednesdays to torture us for weeks on end. Another sign that Cubase 12 is coming next week. 98% chance in my book. ![]()

Iām sorry for trying to be funny. The whole team at Steinberg is also very excited for Cubase 12 and we canāt wait to show you what we have been working on.
But unfortunately we are not quite there yet. Please have some more patience.

Cubase 12, December 21st 2022.
12.21.22. Matches the 12 theme. Plus itās a Wednesday!

Glad you can show a sense of humor, thatās way better than stone-faced silence! So please keep communicating, it is always appreciated! I can hang in there a little longer for C12, and Iām guessing most of us can handle it without losing our minds. There is something significant about this release though⦠lots of changes in the DAW market, even over with your friends down the road in Hamburg with Studio One and Fender. So take your time, do it right, just as long as you guys kill some more bugs, donāt stress out too much, and enjoy yourselves too. Stress = more bugs. C11 is still working, thank goodness.
I am slightly bummed I was wrong about my guess for next week, although I did only give a 98% accuracy to my guess! At least we know itās SOME Wednesday⦠hopefully by next month! ![]()
Funny enough I watched a āWe are Steinbergā video on the main youtube page last night and it looks a great modern environment to work in. Anyone interested itās here:-
Bonus for you all, You can play those lamps at the kitchen too:- ![]()
Hi all, Steinberg recently moved into a new office space here in Hamburg. And what do HALion guys do first when they enter a new facility? They check out how the hanging lamps sound like. Luckily our new lamps sound awesome and every kitchen has 5 of them. So on a Friday afternoon when it got quit in the office we took a field recorder and sampled the lamps, played with a drum stick in 3 velocities and an alternate, processed it in the wavetable, added some effects, took a picture of the kitcheā¦
Iād love to see more behind the scenes stuff after a major release, talking to staff on why or how features were added, it really intrigues me now Iāve seen that video.
My terrible typing lol corrected now but your exactly correct. Where I do not specifically mention apple silicon I am talking about windows ![]()
Please take your time, I am making great music with Cubase 11. There is no urgency for 12.
But ānot quite there yetā in software terms to me means early summer at the earliest.
I remember reading that Wednesdays are peak social media activity day of the week, but I read that 10+ years ago. It could be just a general release strategy, and no actual month/day of month is set.

Nice Radiohead vibe Iām catching in the background music? ![]()
I think all Cubase versions have been released on a Wednesday for the last 18 years. So there is method in the social media madness. Though we have no idea which Wednesday it will be this year ![]()
