Why are features that worked well in previous Cubase versions broken in the next version of Cubase? Eg the draw line tool in the MIDI Key Editor worked fine in C 9.5, 10, 10.5 in C11 no longer display velocity values. The function has become useless, for example in the Vienna SL, where articulation depends on velocity. Many other examples can be cited. Who is wasting time and money breaking well-functioning functions?
Hi,
Because the software is evolving and changing.
This is a known change. You can see the Mouse Value in the State Line. Which gives you the information you are making for.
For example, please?
Thank you for your response, Martin,
I can not see it (Windows 10). There was already a similar comment. I was hoping it would be corrected.

The lowly scrollbar is potentially the single most important UI component of any sequencer. Cubase scrollbars favor form over function, which is a big UI no-no: They are considerably SMALLER than standard Windows scrollbars The single line that represents the scrollbar track is an outright lie - the scrollbar track is not 1px tall! As such, Cubase scrollbars are incredibly difficult to use with a mouse. For proper UI, witness the mixer volume handles - large enough to be seen, grabbed and m…
This is especially troublesome on 4k monitors.
OK the time for April Fool’s is gone and it’s not funny anymore – please bring back the C9-style Transport Panel! [image] Instead of fixing this, yet another option has been added (Location Range Duration). With everything forced onto only one line in C10, if you “Show All” the panel is already wider than a full HD screen! How can this be anything other than a major UI design flaw? [EDIT] Title updated to reflect the fact that it’s still horrible in the 10.0.30 update [EDIT] Title u…
Hi,
Are you sure the Status Line is enabled in your Key Editor? Could you attach a screenshot, please?
Thank you Martin, turning on the Status Line helped.
