Fixes

  1. Fix problems in Direct Offline Processing like not always generating a tail

  2. Fix the Dialogue tabbing misbehavior

  3. Fix flatten real time processing which mess up timing no matter the algorithm used.

  4. Fix VCA channel losing its values upon reopening of project.

  5. Fix the bugs in MIDI Remote

This! Drives me nuts. I just wanna be able to browse presets easily.

I would love to see a tab style organization window in the lower zone that allows users to organize plugins like Helix native and Neural DPS GUIs so they don’t pop up all over the screen every time I want to open up an amp sim.

Do you mean the program selector? The minimalistic Media Bay kind of thing, that shows up when you press to the left of the up/down arrows on the top of a VST?

  • Ability to insert bezier curves and break points directly onto Audio Event fades without needing to enter into the Audio Event fade dialog box.

  • Update GUI from raster graphics to vector graphics.

I would love an option to be able to left-click anywhere within the midi editor to place my cursor / playhead there, without holding down the Ctrl key.

Click on the midi node = select midi node.

Click anywhere else = place playhead there.

  • “Remove selected tracks” should be available in the MixConsole mouse right click context menu

Once again…

  • Updated expression map system/articulation manager - with variable per articulation pre day. As they have in Dorico
  • Summing folders
  • when changing tracks, option for open vst instrument window auto banking to newly selected tracks
  • option for key editor window not to close when deleting a region and auto populating when new region is selected - just as key editor in lower zone behaves
  • sampler track to be expanded to multi sampler
  • redesigned easier to use media bay - copy whats in halion7 with ability to create own atributes

My big feature request is to expand on the Midi remote idea but to for it to exist in its own window/editor on screen (no hardware required). Then it can easily be dragged onto a touchscreen of some kind and we’d have our own built in, easy to configure and adaptable version of all the hz type touchscreens, that people dump hours and hours into setting up, with third party software and scripting nonsense. And if If I’m allowed to really dream combine with the ‘hopefully’ new EM’s with autobanking articulations for whichever track your on… Crazy how SB haven’t attempted to create this as all their ‘famous’ users seem to be using touchscreens

Yeah I’ll keep waiting…

Please give us a Track preset system with access from MediaBay unlike Track Archives, whereby a Track Preset recalls it’s routing ala Studio One. Also include Track Delay within those presets.

Anyone happen to know the oldest-living request from the list?

I guess that would be to please please please (with extra cream on top) fix issues that have been around forever and not only recently…

Yes, they’re very inconsistent. Most allow you to select a preset and then cursor up/down and it changes in realtime which is great.

Then, Others you have to click to select a preset which then closes the preset list, so you have to click back into it, find where you were before, to try the next preset.

Yes I agree - it’s very inconsistent and random, some of it. I also wish they could add a hotkey for opening the program selector, instead of having to manually click to open it.

I use it a lot to browse through (and rate) presets, and it’s nice to be able to use the arrow keys and hear the presets change in real time, as opposed to Halion’s Media Bay, where you have to double click a preset or press enter.

THIS:

Just curious, how hard would it be to move from raster to vector?

Gap-less audio engine is already added at 98.

  2. Fix the Dialogue tabbing misbehavior

  3. Fix flatten real time processing which mess up timing no matter the algorithm used.

  4. Fix VCA channel losing its values upon reopening of project.

  5. Fix the bugs in MIDI Remote

  6. Fix batch flatten processing on multiple events which results in pops and whole parts broken.

  7. GUI consistency across all menus. (media bay, media pool, preferences)

  8. Legible text everywhere

  9. Fix Scroll issues on Mac.

  10. Fix Per note automation.

  11. Fix clicks when cross fade events with various stretch algorithms used.

  12. Support for light GUI mode (respect OS settings for that like in Win 11).

Great job assembling all the desired features and fixes!

By the way, could we perhaps make a vote or a poll, somehow? Would be nice to see which features (or fixes) would be most popular. And then Steinberg could work on implementing features that the majority of the users want.

An idea - Steinberg could make a temporary website (or a special topic), where they list all the latest features and fixes from this topic. And then they could allow each user to place five votes, in total.
