Can you open Dorico at all? Or is it opening, but you don’t have playback?
When I launch Dorico and everything is trying to load on the loading screen. The app doesn’t actually open.

I’m sure you’ve tried this but it worked for me once long ago. Did you have HALion Sonic SE.vst3 already installed? If yes did you uninstall it? Check this thread
If @kylehenkel has restarted the computer then this won’t be a problem

Sorry I meant trying to restart the program - that’s what I gleaned from an earlier post by Daniel. I should probably stay out of these, I am not savvy enough

In your case the audio engine log appears to abruptly end right after “Find Shared Modules” - just before it loads the VST3 plugins and such.
Ha, this was a while ago. …if anyone reads this thread, nothing ever happened because the student never gave me their crash log (womp womp).
Thanks for the diagnostics report, @kylehenkel . There are plenty of crash files of the audio engine. I’m currently on the road with only an Android device so can not view the crash files properly. Could you please open the Console app and in there view the latest crash file, copy all the text and paste it into a plain text file and upload here. Thanks

@PaulWalmsley - I’m not seeing HALion Sonic SE on my end - I guess I deleted it already?
In the Download Assistant, I see this (picture below). Is one of these SE? And if so, which one should I redownload?

It looks appear to be still there in /Library/Application Support/Steinberg , so check that it’s gone.
As Ulf says, HALion Sonic 7 is the replacement for the old HALion Sonic SE so you want that, so I’d suggest reinstalling it after you’ve deleted the old one.
