This is not what OP is talking about.
And this is also not what OP is talking about.
Guys, smooth scrolling is not meant in a way that it was back in the 80ās on a Commodore 64, where you were happy to scroll the screen pixel by pixel instead of block by block.
Itās a small animation that guideās the userās eyes from āI was hereā to āI end up thereā.
Itās a way to help the user get back orientation (where am I) more quickly.
It is a concept similiar to minimizing an app on macOS or Windows and seeing it disappear into the task bar.
Did you try it? imo a good alternative
Well, what I see is a handful of people suggesting ways that can possibly help OP achieve a more desired effect on his scrolling.
And then I see you suggesting nothing and just criticizing everyone else.
We are not paid to help here, everyone is giving some of his precious time in order to help others if possible.
Yes, it fixed the massive jumps, thanks
This worked, thanks! The project was set to very long.
But vertical scroll only if I use the timeline
Sorry it did not work it only worked if the project is set to 15s long @m.c
What about horizontal scroll?
There is this alternative:
Scroll Fix for Windows
identical, itās smooth both in vertical and horizontal on mac
Nice, good to see that there is actually someone else excetp of me who noticed there is something wrong with scrolling in Cubase.
this did not work.
I 've found this
This works, but it is subscription based app. Ridicolus to pay additional app to fix something thatās should have been natively working well.
Sorry doesnāt work it works vertcally by horisontally it smoothly jumps 140 bars. lol
hi
I am facing great difficulties.
Iām curious about the solution.
When I move files in an audio track, I want autoscroll to follow the direction Iām moving.
This is because the video track and audio track must be synchronized.
Please,
(a) start a new topic for your issue as it has nothing to do with this one
(b) be more specific in your description; at least for me it is hard to understand what exactly you do and what you want
Is there a solution for this?
If youāre really zoomed in horizontally, the left / scrolling is horrible and jerky.
The scrolling resolution should (of course) adapt to zoom.
Anyone?
It makes no sense, because if you do middle mouse wheel plus move, you get smooth scrolling.
But i donāt want to use that method (middle mouse wheel) because itās tiring and also it scrolls vertically as well, which i donāt want.
Is there any way to convert MMB + move into a hotkey?
Honestly, i sometimes wonder if Steinberg has any actual communication with professional users!
